2018 blogging goals

Happy 2018 everyone!I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and a great start to the new year. I loved spending time with my family, taking some time off work and eating alll the foods! Now though, I’m ready to hit the ground running, embrace the year ahead and achieve some of the goals I’ve set for my little blog.

New Year's resolutions

Take it more seriously.

I officially started What Bee Did in August 2017, but there were a few different halfhearted versions before that. I’ve wanted to write a blog for years, and every so often start a new one, but eventually my initial enthusiasm fizzles out and I give up. I always wonder how far I could have gotten if I’d get up that original one I started 4 years ago, so I’m determined to give What Bee Did my all.

Improve my photograph skills.

A huge part of blogging is the photos, and whilst my pictures aren’t terrible, they are pretty basic and taken on an iPhone. I would love to invest in a decent camera, master the flatlay and photo styling and learn how to properly edit.

More lifestyle posts and fashion posts.

Originally, I wanted What Bee Did to be a lifestyle/fashion and beauty blog, but it seems to have transformed into mainly beauty, which is fine, because I L O V E makeup, but I would like to branch out a bit more, take fashion/outfit photos and write thoughtful, lifestyle pieces.

Instagram every day and blog at least once per week.

I love Instagram (shameless plug!) and want to try and post every day to keep up engagement and post to my blog at least once per week, max 3 a week. I think this will be a easy first target whilst the blog is growing.

More increase followers and likes.

For Instagram (seriously though, follow pls) I’d like to achieve at least 1000 followers this year and boost my followers on Twitter and Bloglovin. Again, goals I think will be very achievable for a blogging novice.

Those are my blogging goals but what are yours? Let me know, I love to be inspired!

xoxo
