I don’t know if you’ve noticed yet, but I am a little obsessed with beauty products, and at this time of year, the list of products I would love to have is very long indeed. So today, I’m sharing a Christmas gift guide for beauty lovers, filled with gift ideas perfect for stockings or more high end/luxury – there’s something for every budget!
We shall start off with stocking fillers. Perfect for when you’ve already got the main present but just need a little something to finish it off. I love going to Boots and taking advantage of the 3 for 2 offer, and here’s a little tip – it’s not the cheapest items that you get for free, but the third item that they scan. So, if you give the checkout person the items in the correct order, you can get your priciest items for free!
This year, Ted Baker is offering a beautiful collection of makeup and body care products, like eye shadow pallets, makeup brushes and shower gels and moisturising lotions. The packaging is so beautiful – all rose gold and floral – and it was so hard not to just put everything into my basket! My favourites were the rose gold compact mirror and Tips and Lips duo but you can view the whole collection here.
Makeup brushes are always a great stocking filler, as they’re not always something you want to buy for yourself as they can sometimes be a bit pricey. Real Techniques are without a doubt some of the best and most affordable and this Christmas, they have gift sets of different collections, like the metallic range, which I have seen half price in boots. I picked up the eye shadow brushes set, as I can no longer go on watching a certain someone struggle with one terrible eye shadow brush.
I have seen a lot of brands doing festive baubles containing one or two of their products and then filling them with glitter or confetti, which is so much fun. I love the Nails Inc Sparkle All The Way Bauble and also this one by Bumble and Bumble which contains their Pret-A-Powder and some cute hair ties.
Skinnydip have a new range of beauty products like this eye shadow palette with shimmers and mattes and this lovely sugar scrub and body mist set. Another body scrub I really love is this one by Frank, which when it launched it had a 5,000 person waiting list. It’s a coffee scrub with an added shimmer that leaves skin smooth and soft and glowing like a disco ball! Finally, I personally don’t think any Christmas stocking could be complete without a few Lush bath bombs. What’s really great is that Lush do gift boxes containing a variety of bombs and lotions, already wrapped up, and at loads of different price points, so there are ones under £10, all the way up to £150!
My L O V E of Charlotte Tilbury is very well documented on this blog, so it should come as no surprise that she features on this Gift Guide for Beauty Lovers. Every girl should have at least one of her iconic lipsticks in her collection, and I highly recommend her Luxury eye shadow palettes, which come in a variety of looks/colours.
I feel like Fenty Beauty by Rhianna was the most hyped beauty launch this year, and for good reason of course. There are so many things I would love from Fenty Beauty, but two favourites are the Killerwatt Highlighter and the Stunner Lip Paint, which is described as the ‘perfect universal red’ and lasts 12 hours.
It’ll be a nightmare to wrap, but Benefit’s Beauty & the Bay set, which contains full sized They’re Real mascara, Hoola bronzer and High Brow pencil, as well as a mini High Beam, will be well worth the struggle!
One my favourite purchases this year has been the cult classic Pixi Glow Tonic, which you can read about here. It’s transformed my dull, dry skin and made it all soft and glowy and makes makeup sit a lot better. The Pixi Glow Tonic & Peel & Polish set is perfect for skin care lovers, as is the GlamGlow Sexy Supermud set which includes a full sized Supermud and three minis.
Perfume is obviously a great luxury present but it can be tricky to choose one as it’s such a personal item. This is why I really love the Glossier You perfume, as its designed to smell differently on every person. Plus, at £45 for 50ml, I think it is very affordable compared to the designer ones.
So there you have it, my Christmas gift guide for beauty lovers, and hopefully it’s provided some inspiration for your Christmas gift shopping. Stay tuned for a few more gifts over the next week!
