So last week I shared with you some of the beauty purchases I made literally the second I got paid, and this week, it’s all about the clothes! Now that Autumn is in full swing, it’s time for some seasonal wardrobe updates, something I haven’t been able to do for two years whilst living in Australia (hello year round summer!) Jumpers are an obsession of mine, although surprisingly, I haven’t bought any this time round, as I’m getting reacquainted with all my old favourites. My personal style has also changed a lot since living over seas, meaning a lot of my old clothes have now been donated to charity. I like to think my style could be described as ‘classic with an edge’. I no longer go for the fast fashion styles, with the odd exception, but instead prefer neutral tones like black, white and grey, and classic shapes, dressed up with accessories and a bold makeup look (I’ve made that sound so boring but I hope you get what I mean.)
My pay day clothes shopping haul.
Black tea dress – Asos & White ruffle hem crop top – Topshop
I currently only own three dresses, which for me is just not enough. This tea dress is very flattering as it nips in at the waist and then flares out in an a-line style. It’s perfect for both day and night as it’s so easy to dress up with some great jewellery and shoes. The crop top from Topshop looks great with high waisted skirts and jeans and I’m know I’m going to be wearing this a lot.
Black leather cross body bag – Topshop & Chandelier earrings – River Island via Asos
I love the simplicity of this bag. It’s the perfect size – small enough for a night out but big enough for a purse, lipstick and a bottle of water. I never usually wear big earrings, but recently I’ve developed a bit of an obsession. These are great as they aren’t heavy at all.
Black low heel Chelsea boots – Topshop
Simple and stylish and super comfortable – a great pair of everyday flat boots.
Western buckle boots – Missguided via Asos
I L O V E these boots! I’ve been seeing this style everywhere but wasn’t able to find the exact pair I wanted that didn’t also cost a fortune. They look great with skirts and dresses and I can’t wait to wear them out for Friday night drinks!
