September is in full swing and the shops are filling up with the all the new AW17 fashions and I’ve seen one colour in particular popping up over and over again and that is red. Not a dull red, or a berry red, but full on, in your face, crimson red. I’m the kind of girl who’s wardrobe is mainly black, black and a little more black, so the idea of wearing head to toe red as seen on Instagram is kinda scary.
Not one to shy away though, here are three ways I’ll be add a splash of red to my wardrobe this season.
Accessories. This is the easiest way to get involved with this trend. I bought these tassel earrings in Topshop and I am O B S E S S E D with them. Legit, I like to just sit and play with the threads when I’m wearing them.
Makeup. A bold red lip will never go out of style but you can try a red liquid eyeliner, eye shadow or play it a bit safer with a bold red nail polish. The new Urban Decay Heat palette has the most lust worthy shades of red eye shadow that are perfect for day and night, whilst Mac has a shade of red lipstick before for every skin tone.
A red Breton top. Stripes will forever be a classic and a red Breton is an easy way to add some red without going all in. Although be warned, some people will always try and make the classic joke of ‘having found Wally’ whenever they spot you. H&M have some really cute ones this season, be sure to check them out!
So there you go, four ways you can wear red this season if you are a colourphobe like I am. Let me know what you think in the comments and how you’ll be wearing red this season.
